We have found a new auto mechanic. Since M is home sick--did I mention that M is home sick?--I made him take his car in for service. He has a broken air conditioner and it is worrying me to death. He is actually quite unhappy with it, too, but.. well, I just like to make sure that the boy is comfortable, alright? And he won't drive my car and leave me without A/C, even though I drive seven miles a day and he drives seventy. I know, we're disgusting. Anyway, he called McAnelly's (I am telling you all this because OH MY GOODNESS, what kind of a horrible name is that for a human being?) and we took it out there yesterday on my lunch break. Blah blah, long story shorter (slightly) and we went back to pick it up today. He didn't have time to fix it (other people in line ahead of us and "it just wouldn't be right") so we have to take it back on Monday to have it fixed. See, to find out where the leak is, they have to refill it completely. So, M asks about paying him, and the friendly mechanic said that he wouldn't feel right about charging us for the fill-up because it's just going to leak out again right away. End result? The air conditioner in M's car works, and it didn't cost anything. (It WILL cost something on Monday, but not for what they did today.) So, assuming that nothing goes awry on Monday.. we have found ourselves an auto mechanic.
I figure that was high on your list of things you needed to know, huh?
I hate Wednesdays.
I need to affix some things to my bathroom wall, and I need it to be a clear form of stickiness that will not ruin the paint and will be easily removed. See, I bought a shower curtain a while back when I was in decorate-bathroom mode, and it was too long so I had to cut some off at the bottom. Then I got this idea of cutting out the dragonflies and putting them on the wall to complement the shower curtain. (It looks really, really cute. Just take my word for it.) This is one of the thirteen remaining items on my to-do list, incidentally. I finally finished cutting them out tonight, but I'm not sure how to stick them up now. I need a removable glue-stick. Do they make those? It sounds familiar. I just don't want to ruin the walls and end up losing our deposit when we move out. I can always put them on the cabinet, I guess.
I had another appointment with the allergist this morning.. a follow-up on the last skin rash. He had said we would be doing a patch test, which is two strips of tape stuff to test for chemical allergies and stuff. When we got there, though, I saw a physician's assistant who said that if I did it, I would have to drive to another office on Friday to have it removed. (The allergist is in Frankfort one day a week, and has offices in four or five other places in Kentucky.) Anyway.. as it happens.. on Fridays he's in Morehead. So, I could have gone to Morehead on Friday on a legitimate doctor visit! I considered it for about three seconds before remembering that I have no leave time for silly things like that, and I really don't want to have this done anyway. But still!
