Wet Wednesday
Jul. 13th, 2005 05:24 pmSince I learn from my past mistakes, I am posting right now, before I even have dinner or play computer games. Last night, I went to bed at a ridiculously early time. I laid down at 7:15, and fell asleep at 8:15. I got up at 8:45 and was up until 9:30 because my parents called, and then I fell asleep again. My husband was worried about me this morning, I think, because he asked me how I was feeling and all I could say was that I was sleepy. But I've felt pretty good today so maybe I should go to bed early more often. I just hate to because it cuts into time I use for other stuff. I wish I could be one of those people who sleep very little because they'd rather be doing something else, but I'm just not. Can you imagine how much more you could get done if you only slept four hours a night? I could write a book! Or exercise! Or read blogs! ;) Guess which one is most likely. I think I'll pass on altering my sleeping habits.
We're getting rain now, which breaks up that "drought" we'd been having. M laughed at me on Monday because I did that annoying airquote thing when I said something about the drought. (FYI. I hate it when people do that.) He wanted to know if I also didn't believe there had been a man on the moon. I'm withholding judgement, is all I'm saying. Actually, no, that's not a paranoia I subscribe to at all. And normally I'm not pathologically paranoid. There's just something about this "drought" that makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Anyway, the rain is from the hurricane in Florida, they say, and I think that's what my sleepiness was about. Either that, or it's the SUV bed. I don't know if I've mentioned it.. I think I have.. but I haven't slept well since we moved. I toss and turn and wake up a lot during the night, which I've never done before. It's only been two or three nights so I can't really make any big claims here, but I seem to be sleeping better than average. Maybe we never got the bed entirely level... that felt like the problem when we first set it up. So, that's potentially good news. I'm just not good at sleeping badly.
