Last night at Bed Bath and Beyond we looked at candle warmer thingies that you use to heat up a scented candle so the scent is released without actually having to burn them. They were $15, and we thought that was a tad excessive. Today's outing was to Walmart, as there is only so long one can exist without paper towels and philly steak, and so we looked at (and purchased) one of them. For $5. Same item, same brand. What exactly motivates them to charge THREE TIMES as much for the same item just because they're a specialty store? That's crazy.

M has been in an unofficial prove-your-nerdiness contest at work, and was proud to announce last night that he had won. "I got invited to a Halloween party," he says, and the other guy points out that getting a party invite is approximately the opposite of nerdiness. M delivers the killing blow--this party? It's a LAN party. And if you've never heard of such a thing, it's basically where a bunch of folks bring their computers over to someone's house and play games over the network. So, yes. Pretty darned nerdy. I just wish that those types of games didn't make me queasy.

That's pretty much all that's exciting, unless I start talking about computer games and what we've been up to today.. :) I'll spare you that and go back to reading my book instead. We both win!
