M called me this morning as he arrived at work (yes, every morning, and no, I am NOT an obsessive worrier :p) to let me know that he thought he was getting sick.. definite throat tickle. By lunch time, he had sent an email saying that he was definitely getting sick, sore throat and heavy head. At 4:00, I took some tylenol for a headache. At 7:00, I realized that my head is heavy and achey in that way it gets when you have a cold. So either I am feeling sympathy pains or we're both going to be sick in the near future. Sucks.. feels way too reminiscent of last year. But at least I wasn't sick all summer! That was a blessed relief! Honestly, I feel emotionally scarred from being sick so much last spring. It was all just so wrong.
I am majorly in the mood to shop online this week. I rarely buy anything from anywhere other than Amazon.. there have been a few CompUSA/Best Buy/Barnes & Noble type orders, but generally, it's Amazon. I'm having these fantasies of doing all my Christmas shopping online.. which is a great fantasy except for the fact that I've tried it for the last three years without much success. But this year! This year I really don't feel like shopping! This year I want things delivered right to my door! But without shipping charges. I HATE shipping charges. Anyone know of any fantastic stores that I must know about? No?
Oh! I am good! Very good! Well, I guess if I was really good I would have thought of this months ago, but poor
elle_da_belle, who also writes for Mosaic Minds, has never been able to access the site because of some sort of restrictions on her end. So, tonight I sent her an email to suggest that she use an anonymizer (link goes to a page full of links to said service) site, whereby you put in a URL and it displays the site for you, so there isn't a direct connection. And it worked! And apparently there are lots of sites that she hasn't been able to view and now she can! It's always so much fun when you help someone fix their computer woes. Geeks, you will recognize this feeling... ;)
