Dec. 16th, 2005 11:22 pmM and I are really good at making plans, not so great at following through on said plans. Case in point: we planned a date night today, dinner and a movie. And indeed, we did go out to dinner, and we did a bit of shopping to kill time and then we drove to the theater but lacked the inclination to go inside, so we did a little more shopping and went home with plans to watch stuff on tv and wrap Christmas presents. Then we've spent the rest of the evening playing computer games. Which, honestly, has been the most wonderful evening ever. I, in case it had not been uncomfortably obvious, have had a shitty week, so it was really nice to stare blankly and do nothing productive.
I have also been planning this craft project but that has thus far fallen through as well, but this time through no fault of my own. A lady at work has these little angels on her little tree, and they're made out of one paper clip, one bead and one ribbon and they are so, so cute. The trick, of course, is that the paper clip is one of those butterfly types. Is that what they're called, or did I make that up? It sounds kind of.. well, not particularly good, but they're cute, but I can't find the supplies. WalMart does not carry those paper clips. Neither, as it turns out, does Office Depot. (Or maybe they're just out of stock.) WalMart also doesn't have appropriate beads for this project, and the first time I checked they were even out of the ribbon. Ribbon! They always have ribbon! I'm going to have to leave town to buy paper clips! How dumb is that?
Tomorrow, we must get our house in order. I really don't think it will take us that long because we have been making progress, but that's my main goal for this weekend. Maybe if I write it down I'll actually do it.. ha!
