I kinda failed at the not going shopping thing. One of my main problems with it was either that I could drive myself to meet my parents at a sensible hour but then be stuck with an extra car when it was time to come home with M, or I could get up and drive to work with M. As he leaves the house at six, that was clearly not an option. But my parents called at a decent hour and asked if I wanted to be picked up, so I let them. I am so nice! ;) I didn't spend that much money, though, even though my list is a mile long. And shoes, I forgot the shoes. I've needed shoes for ages and haven't found any I like.

La la la. Did you know that the name pronounced "Kay-lee" is spelled "Katie"? I didn't either, but the helpful salesgirl at Macy's informed us on multiple occasions that her name was Kaylee but her name tag said otherwise. She was a bit of an oddball anyway, though.

Nothing much else went on today. M watched the first Bond movie and I did the first two chapters in my new photoshop book, which is all about masking and compositing. That was kind of nerdy. (This is by the same author as the book I bought on restoration and retouching, and I enjoyed THAT book enough that one of my most-played Sims is named Katrin.) I am a total fraud, though, because I am not nearly artsy enough for the things I envision. Anyway. I enjoy playing with it, anyway, regardless of whether or not I actually use it for anything seriously cool.

Now M and I are playing one of our favorite games, which is "Pair M's Best Friend Up Hypothetically With Another Friend". We should stop because we always lose at that one. This game is full of us saying things like "well, their sense of humor would mesh well, but they don't fit AT ALL" or "she would drive him crazy". (I don't think B would ever read this but if you do, umm.. at least we think about you?) And FYI, if you're single and female and of the right age group.. yes, we've played this game with you to some degree or another. Nothing personal, you understand. Just something to pass the time. "I think Rusty needs a girl," Tess said conspiratorially.

I have now started about six paragraphs which I then erase, which tends to be a clear indication that I'm done rambling. I am so enjoying this whole weekend thing.. although I just gave myself a bit of a panic attack by seeing that the computer clock said Saturday.. I thought it was tomorrow night already! That would be very unfair.
