things that made me laugh tonight
Jan. 29th, 2006 10:28 pmI have been entertaining myself this evening by reading through old emails from M as a sort of mood-elevator. There were many, many things that made me laugh, but many of them were inappropriate for public posting, like the x-rated poem that a close male (gay) friend of ours sent to M, who forwarded it to me with the caption, "Should I be worried?" The funny part was that it was a) downright pornographic and b) the last line invited him in a rather blunt sort of manner to.. umm.. to recline in a green meadow and spend some time partaking of a particular pastime involving words that rhyme with "grass". You get the point.
There was also the story about Bob the Fish that M started telling me, but unfortunately, he never finished it so I have no idea what happened to poor Bob. I thought seriously about posting the part I do have but I should probably clean it up a little first. It's a two-part log, one from the mud and one from ICQ, and the first part is probably a bit hard to follow if you don't understand the format.
Anyway, the part that I wanted to share, mainly to make M laugh. See, he used to have a home page. The first incarnation, before I met him, was about a Ford Anglia that he had owned. By the time I met him in 1998, it was already your standard "Hi, this is me, I look like this, this is my car, here are my friends and here is their boat and btw, I enjoy killing dandelions." kind of personal website. Apparently, the Anglia crowd enjoyed his page very much, as there were still a zillion links to it, and there was much disappointment when there was no longer any Anglia content.
