Today, it was a very sad day, for the boy has to lay to rest his very favorite Hawaiian shirt. His very favorite shirt, to be honest. He has quite literally worn the thing out such that the very fabric has torn apart. I am considering using it to create a slipcover for the back of his chair because I think that would be awesome, and it would actually kind of match because it has black in it and his chair is black. Besides that, we paid a bloody fortune for that crazy chair so I almost feel like it's an investment worth protecting. Actually, the cost of chairs for people who use said chairs so often is basically nothing in the long run, but I enjoy taking every opportunity to torment my husband.

Tomorrow is going to be.. very long. I am getting up tomorrow at five am. On a SATURDAY. I'm taking M to work and then going on up to see my parents. I thought that would be a nice idea given that my daddy has been sick and all, and also, we have plans to meet up with some friends tomorrow for a round of show-and-tell. As it happens, we both bought houses within a couple of months of each other, and so we're going to show off our houses. Or at least one house. The original plan was to do both, though, so we may end up back here. In any case, I have much more planned for tomorrow than I ever do for a weekend. I am getting up an hour earlier than I do on my earliest days, though, so I have no idea why I'm not already in bed since it is pretty much time that I should be.
