vinegar and wallpaper and feet.
Mar. 25th, 2006 04:28 pmI stink of vinegar again, but at least we made some good progress on the wallpaper removal project this afternoon. There isn't a whole lot of it left to do, unless we cave in and do the closet. In that case, it'll be a bitch because we'll have to take out all the clothes and the shelving and then stand in a closet while we remove the stuff, but we're kind of thinking that it was painted white, and who will notice that there's wallpaper under the paint in the closet? Right? Anyone?
There is also something wrong with my left ankle. Last week, it started hurting when I walked, and then faded away on Friday. Then it was totally better except that it felt a little sore, like I'd been walking on it too much the day before. I didn't even connect that until last night, when I stood up from the couch and could not stand on it. I had a really hard time walking on it enough to get my face washed and then to bed. And then when I got up this morning, it was better. It's a touch sore, but not much at all. I've been trying to stay off it a little today, and that's why I just spent an hour on my feet working on wallpaper, and why we're heading out of town as soon as I finish procrastinating with this post to do a bit of shopping. I am such a moron. I should probably go get it checked out because I haven't the faintest idea what could have happened to make it hurt. No injuries recently.
Boyo needs a small USB cable for his phone--we lost the old one in the move, and so now we need to buy a new one so we can find the old one. Also, we need to return a filing cabinet from Staples, because it did not fit together properly. (You know if the Ikea-heritaged Swede can't put a piece of furniture together, something is very wrong with it.) That's about all we're planning to do while we're gone--we totally suck at buying stuff lately. You know what we mentally purchased in the course of one conversation this afternoon? A complete bedroom suit and a king sized bed, a plasma television, new floors for the kitchen, dining room, living room and hallway, a new couch, loveseat and chair, a DVD/VCR combo unit to get rid of the VCR--or maybe we'll ditch the VCR altogether and buy a DVD that records--and a bunch of fun little accessories and pictures. Then, we started talking about what we were actually going to buy and do you know what we came up with? See above regarding a USB cable. And dinner.
But still, Saturdays are lovely, lovely things!
