We painted! Just the one coat, and it definitely needs a second, but it looks good so far. It's got more of a green tint than a blue one, which isn't optimal. But it's pretty anyway, I think. I just held up the paintings to see the contrast, and it's looking like it will look pretty nice.. even if it's not exactly what I had in mind. M often gets off work early (two) on Mondays (but not yesterday) and Wednesdays, so I just told him that he can feel free to go ahead and put the second coat of paint on without me. He was properly appreciative, naturally.

I spent the better part of the day with a raging headache. This afternoon, the lines on the reports I was working with were dancing across the page and I would have wept had it not been a sure-fire way to make it worse. But it did start getting better around the time I got home. (Imagine that!) I had to finish taping the bedroom for the painting spree, though, and that kind of made me dizzy and light-headed, and so I went to rest on the couch with a bag of restorative Cheetos. Shut up. It's gone now, so obviously it worked!
