(no subject)

I would like to tell you fun stories of drama and intrigue, but nothing dramatic or intriguing is going on. Except that it is Friday, and that is pretty intriguing to me right about now. M and I both slept horribly last night. I was up an hour after I fell asleep to use the bathroom, and I knew right then that it was going to be a long night. Between bathroom visits and spending a good amount of time in a half-awake sort of dozing, I didn't get a whole lot of good sleep. On the bright side, that did mean that I was able to wake M up when he started having a nightmare, as typically, I sleep through any sort of nighttime disturbance. He thanked me quite politely, which made me laugh.

At my urging, my parents bought him a foot bath for Christmas--you know, the tub that you fill with hot water and it makes bubbles? I was absolutely sure that he would barely use it. To my surprise, he has had it out several times already. I suggested that they buy it because he's said several times that he wanted one, but he wasn't sure he'd use it. I gave them strict orders that they should only buy the thing if they found a cheap one. I've never known anyone who actually uses those things after they get one! Of course, he still has time to get bored with it. As I am sitting here vibrating (we have hardwood floors in here) then *I* still have time to get bored with it and accidentally snip the cable make him stop using it.

I am so glad that it's the weekend. Less glad that it's my first two-day weekend since before Christmas (gotta love working for the state) but right now I can't even complain much about that. Weekend, beautiful weekend...
