I am not going to talk about my health today. I am going to talk about how WalMart does not carry strawberry kool-aid. Did you know that strawberry kool-aid is the Best Thing In The World (tm)? No? Because it is. I made some this week and drank the entire jug by myself in a ridiculously short period of time, but then we were out and I was very sad. I went to Walmart with some co-workers this morning on break specifically to buy the stuff, and they don't carry it. Is it just me or is strawberry not one of the accepted flavors? How can they not have strawberry? That's just crazy talk. I swear this town is insane when it comes to food supply. queen_b980 to come back from the dairy section, we were hovering at the end of the frozen food aisle, and a man wheeled his cart by, and I saw... (are you ready for this?) JELLO PUDDING POPS. I got in a mood for them three years ago and we had a nice little pity party about how they are no longer available. I made a batch myself but they weren't the same. I zoomed off back down the aisle to look for them, and finally, in one tiny little spot, there they were! They stopped making them for a while, and then they resumed but were only available in selected markets. I have actually checked the website to use their "find a store" location, and seriously contemplated going to the one Meijer in Lexington that was supposed to stock them--I just hadn't made it yet. So, I was understandably surprised to see them in Walmart, where they don't even have strawberry kool-aid! Perhaps they are now distributing the pudding-y goodness on a wider scale! I had two of them (hey, they're smaller than they used to be and I am more pregnant than I used to be) while at work and it was LOVELY.
I did go to Kroger tonight, and at least THEY know what is important to stock! Geez. I'm pretending like it's good for me because I make it a miniscule amount less sweet than the package says. Shhh.
Tomorrow is our day long childbirth class, and after that, if we're feeling able, there's a Scandinavian Heritage event (Finnish, this time. Pea soup, yuck. Laskianen, I think it is). It should be a very long day! Hopefully it will be fun, though. I promised myself that I would go to bed on time tonight instead of staying up all night, though, so I'd better get going so I can do that.
