So many milestones in the life of a tiny babe! Today, for instance, she passed the very important First Law Broken milestone! It was raining hard, so M picked me up at the door to one store and drove across the parking lot to another without her in the car seat. It was a pretty dead parking lot (Sears, across town. I haven't figured out why they haven't closed because it's a worthless Sears) but I still felt like hiding myself from judging eyes as I stepped out of a car holding a teeny baby. Then I posted about it on the internets! Go me.

Also? If you see my cute little baby in a store, feel free to tell me how adorable she is, if you'd like. I will talk to you about how much hair she has (even if her hairline is now receding.. sigh) and how much she weighed at birth and her name and how she's sleeping, but please keep your hands off unless you'd like them removed for you. I wouldn't dream of touching a stranger's baby without permission! People are so weird.

We had the best of intentions today. It was pretty outside, so we decided to go to the game farm and take a walk. I am dreadfully out of shape, since I've been on restricted movement for nearly a year now, and I wasn't exactly in super form to begin with, so I have decided we should try to start walking some. Of course, we have to actually drive to a place where we can walk but still. M cleaned up the stroller (given to my parents by my niece's best friend's mom) and assembled it, we got the baby ready a few times* and finally headed out the door. That's when it started raining. So we ditched the walking plan and went shopping instead. It was a liberating outing. We are finally becoming a little bit more relaxed about going places with her. We even came home and then decided to go out again. Twice in one day!

While we were getting her ready to leave the second time, I accidentally discovered a little game that is about the cutest thing ever. Have you heard that even newborns will imitate someone sticking their tongue out? It actually works, too. If I stick my tongue out at her, she'll stick hers out. I will do more than remove their hands if someone besides us tried this with her, but I blew in her face tonight because she likes it, and noticed that she pursed her lips almost like she was trying to blow back. Coincidence.. Except, she kept doing it, and she even got better at it. By the time we finally quit, she would even breath out while pursing her lips. It was so cute! We played a game! She really isn't able to interact with us much so stuff like this is really exciting. :) I can't wait until she will smile on purpose when you talk to her. I think she often IS pleased when she smiles at us, but I don't necessarily think she's actually smiling consciously yet. Somewhere more than gas and less than true smiling.

* Today was also a good day for dressing her, sorta anyway. She has a lot of adorable clothes, and thanks to her deciding to have the most spitty-uppy day ever, she got to wear lots and lots of them! She has had on eight different outfits today. It's past time for me to go through her clothes and sort out things that are too small for her, too. It's incredible how fast they grow.

M and I have decided to start a software development company and get rich from it. We even have an idea for an unusual program, though I can't write about it because what if someone stole it? We'll see how that goes, since neither of us are swimming in free time and the idea is pretty complicated. M has also detailed his plans to build future mandolins much more quickly, and possibly even get around to selling them. Plus, we're working on his synopsis of his book, so he really is close to sending the thing off. We are just about to be rolling in money, obviously. You can say you knew us when.. hehe. Or not, but it would certainly be nice! So many projects, so little time.
