e and the very good day
Nov. 23rd, 2007 10:25 pmEvelyn just had the best day of her life. I have no idea why. She was in a fantastic mood. She babbled and laughed all day long. She even let us snuggle her for brief moments. She has a lot of positive qualities but she is not generally a very snuggly baby. She loves kisses, but hugs should be kept to a minimum, usually. The days like this really remind you that all of the trials are so so worth it. I think she's just finally getting over her sick, and is ready to play and have fun again. I also think that feeling bad put her behind where she would have been had she been healthy all this time--she is suddenly zooming around in her walker with some (limited) measure of control.
(Especially when she smiles at one person more than anyone else. Not that I would be bragging or anything. Ahh, but how many ponies does one little girl need anyway?)
I requested earlier that we not get sleepy tonight so we could stay up late and play games or watch a movie, but I did not heed my own instructions. I feel (again) like I'm getting sick, which has been going on for a week and a half--intermittent feverish aching, and then nothing else. I guess I should head to bed to catch up on some rest while I can. I hope everyone has a nice holiday weekend. :)
