A post from Evelyn: seven months

I'm sorry it's taken so long to update this journal with pictures of ME! My people think they have to hold me all the time, or put me in Baby-Approved places to play, so I don't get much time to play on the computer. What time I do have, I have to spend analyzing the toy recall databases--geez, don't people know that lead isn't safe for babies?? Duh. Anyway, my mom tells me that no one is expecting regular updates from me because this is her journal and they want to read about her but for goodness sake, I've read the thing and I can tell you who the real star is here--ME.
This week, we had something called "Christmas", which seemed to entail everyone going places really fast and tearing stuff up. I was not really into going places all the time but I did like the part where I could tear stuff up and no one tried to stop me. They kept giving me these boxes with pretty paper on them, and then they would laugh when I ripped the paper! That is fantastic! Can we have Christmas more often please? Daddy said that the next one would be the equivalent of two of my lifetimes away. That made me cry. Bad Daddy! No cookie.
Now that I zoom all around the place in my walker, my people are getting tiresome. They put these stupid locks on the cabinets. They thought they were so clever, but the joke is on them because I never really was that interested in the recycling or the dishwashing detergent under the sink, but dude, this is the best toy ever! It has these fun spikes on the loops that make it fun to chew. I don't know why they keep telling me not to play with it. Meanies. Come to think of it, they don't let me play in my walker that much anymore. I think I shall cry without explanation in revenge.
I like to play on the floor a lot now instead. I have a plastic box full of really boring toys, but my very favorite thing to play with is the box itself! And the lid! Good times.
Oops, I hear Mommy coming. I'd better go before she catches me.
