M had a rough morning. He left for work and came back in thirty seconds later.. ANOTHER flat tire on his car. What the heck? Two in two weeks? So he took my car to work. Fifteen minutes later, I hear banging in my driveway, so I jump up with the baby to look outside, and poor M is just pulling out of the driveway--he'd spent that entire time de-icing the car. The local tire place closes at six, and M gets back into town at six on his two early days, so that would be a no-go. Obviously I couldn't go buy a new tire because I have no vehicle if he's gone in my car. Not insurmountable, but probably inconvenient.

I talked to my mom for a few minutes later in the morning, just idle chit-chat. A couple of hours later, my dad calls me and says... they're on their way down. They need to stop at a shoe store, and then they were coming to the house and he was going to go take care of the tire situation! My parents are awesome. There have been times when he has come down specifically to help us with a vehicle problem, but there was no reason we couldn't take care of a tire ourselves. We did it last week! But, he likes to do that sort of thing for us when he can. He had the day off and they wanted to come visit with the grandbaby* anyway, so they combined it with their shoe errand and was able to throw in a vehicle repair. Isn't that sweet? I rewarded them by feeding them homemade pulled pork barbecue sandwiches that I just happened to have going in the crockpot (I just love being a SAHM) and other yummy deliciousnesses.

*I am of minor importance now, it is all about the grandbaby.

The I Can't Live Like This Anymore Box update: I refilled the miracle whip jar! I think that might have been all, but I had company so I think that was pretty good progress.

I really want to go sew something but I think my desire for bed is winning out. I am feeling a tad under the weather. Evelyn is outgrowing her diapers (baby butt crack == BAD), and I determined that I needed to sew eighteen more. I've knocked out two, and have three more ready to do in an assembly, so I'm making good progress since I established my goal last week, but sadly, yesterday I drafted plans for another project that I have to work on too. I need to learn to control myself and only do one thing at a time.
