I am so, so, so tired and I don't even know why. Except, Evelyn has been waking up at night for the past week. It's been every night except two, and some of those nights she was up two or three times. She is very rarely awake in the night anymore so... at a certain point, your expectations regarding sleep reset and it is suddenly very hard to get interrupted sleep again. I don't know if it's funeral-related or if it's bedroom-related or something else entirely. She is usually calling for Daddy, and when asked (later) she talks about bad dreams, but I think she was cold for the first couple of nights, and then too warm the next. Because of the bathroom remodeling project, we moved her sleeping quarters to the guest room, pulling the mattress down onto the floor for a "floor bed" so she wouldn't fall off of it. Our other bathroom is in her normal room, and since we no longer have a shower or sink in the main bathroom... we had to get her out of her room so we'd have access to it. We both shower before she's awake for the day, for one thing. She is sleeping now in the room that was hers until we switched her into the room she's in now a few months ago and I seem to recall that she did some waking up the first week or two after the switch. Maybe it's just about the room having different sounds/lights. I don't know.

Anyway... I guess things are okay here. It was a pretty rough weekend. This week has been...I don't know. Lazy. I haven't really felt up to much. My house is torn apart and it's KILLING me because everything is out of order. We were just finishing up with the computers-into-the-dining-room project (which means, all the organizational issues raised by this move are still not finished.. lots of papers here and there and things we don't know what to do with, that sort of thing) when we started on the bathroom. Plus, I am painting the dollhouse bookcase that we built for Evie back in like, JANUARY, and that's in the middle of the kitchen floor, so the whole kitchen is a disaster too. And yet, I can't just FINISH it because it is a slow-moving project that has to be done in a certain order. I was planning to do most of it last weekend but obviously that didn't happen. I also had no paint for two of the rooms. Some of the painted trim isn't looking as perfect as I want. I have a decently steady hand but it's still got that hand-painted look, to my eyes. Oh well. I guess you'll have that. Everyone else thinks it looks good. So, I'm working on it but it's just a time-consuming project.

My parents came down on Tuesday and we went to Lowe's to pick up the huge bathroom stuff.. the tub and shower surround. Very annoying to not have a truck sometimes. Then Dad helped M get the bathtub out. It's... well, it may be sitting in front of my house right now. Very classy. Apparently, cast iron bathtubs are heavy... who would have guessed? So, currently, we're looking at a room with no tile and no brown bathtub. The half wall was removed and the wall/floor patched, the walls were drywalled for their initial coating and M is in the process of sanding them. There's some drywall work to be done in the bathtub area that just got ripped up the other night. We need to put down the new floor--which also needs picked out and purchased--and then we can start putting the tub in. We're still working fairly steadily, but we don't have much time after M comes home and before Evie goes to bed.. it's not the quietest project ever. :) So.. slow going but it's coming along. M has plans for most of Saturday to be out doing something else so here's hoping he gets a lot done the rest of the weekend. I would loooove for this to be done. I think it will look so nice. :) It should make the room look so much bigger, plus the mold behind the bathtub walls will be gone and the newly discovered weak spot in the floor will be repaired. All good things!

M and I had a little meeting just now where we decided that we are going to like, eat better and excercise more and also, have more fun and stuff. Because you know, those are totally things that we have never decided before, and they're going to be so simple to accomplish that all we needed was to decide to do them. Yeah.
