Once, we were in a Ripley's Believe It Or Not tourist trap museum and there was a piece of a board that some man had layered a coat of paint onto once a day for seventeen years or something like that, and when you looked at it from the side, you could see all the different layers of paint in a stripe only they were really really thin, of course, and I just stood there and wondered.... what kind of person decides to paint a 2x4 once a day for seventeen years?

And then, we have these neighbors. They drive a somewhat ratty white Chrysler with black spray paint squiggles down one side. Now, I don't know a whole lot about them as people, but the one thing I do know about them is that they refuse, absolutely refuse, to pull more than halfway into their parking spot, which causes those of us who live in the next eight townhouses to swerve precariously around the car to get home. And I wondered about them, wondering what kind of people only pull halfway into their parking spot and then not leave the house for three days, and then it occured to me. They're the kind of people who get someone so pissed off that they take a spray can to their vehicle. So many questions answered right there.

Only slightly untrustworthy? I'm disappointed.

Yes, when I was younger I did do things to people who pissed me off sufficently. A few stones in the hubcaps was a good one as the noise would drive them batty and they couldn't figure out where it came from. I also loosened the distributor cap connection on a particularly loud motorbike.
