Little bits.
Apr. 7th, 2005 09:40 pmMaybe I jumped the gun a little on the pink eye thing; my eyes have been itching and burning all day, but the redness didn't increase all that much. I suppose I just expect things to go wrong by now. We'll see how it looks tomorrow, but I suspect it'll be better. Or maybe I am just a hopeless optimist that cannot learn from previous days. Did you notice that I just referred to my pessimism in the same paragraph as I referred to my optimism? That is because the glass is both half-full and half-empty. Morons.
Something for the language-lovers among us: Wordcount. (This is code for "oh, wow, look! Sheer coolness, over there!")
My husband has been following me around for the last ten minutes yelling about the Cookie Monster. Sometimes, he takes things very seriously.

Date: 2005-04-08 07:45 pm (UTC)WordCount data currently comes from the British National Corpus®, a 100 million word collection of samples of written and spoken language from a wide range of sources, designed to represent an accurate cross-section of current English usage. WordCount includes all words that occur at least twice in the BNC®. In the future, WordCount will be modified to track word usage within any desired text, website, and eventually the entire Internet.
Whereever it comes from, it's really neat!
And, I would be glad to pass on the sick. Although you sounded suspiciously like you were ready for me to pass it in your direction--surely not!
