We might have slept a little longer than we had planned. We might even have slept until 12:40. But, I won’t be admitting that. Actually, I don’t even mind that part since we have really messed with our schedules. We were up at 6:40 am on a Sunday, our time. That’s not too late, right?

M snickered at me last night when I mentioned all those weird keys off to the left. He pointed out that I might be meaning off to the right. So what if I messed up my right and left again? Maybe I meant the KEYBOARD’S right, not MY right. Could happen.

Dinner preparations are on their way, but since we were just hanging around uselessly in the kitchen, we started on the computer detail. The in-laws had a few issues to be resolved, and luckily, those seem to be easily enough fixed. I’m mainly just waiting for the very large mails to finish downloading (part of the problem) before we disconnect, hence the random post before anything new has happened.

My Swedish is improving again and is probably better than it’s ever been—not that I ever say anything in the presence of a Swede other than M. My ego is fragile. ;) But I can.. well, I usually know at least what they’re talking about, but I will get stuck on a sentence and by the time I’ve figured it out, they’ve moved on and I’ve missed too much to know exactly what’s going on, so I start over and.. well, same thing again. After a while, I usually give up and then try to remember to look like I’m still following the conversation. ;)

Anyway, transferring pictures and time to eat, gotta run.

Glad to hear from you! Do the in-laws speak English at all or is it all Swedish all the time? Hope you are having a blast and eating good Swedish pizza (ok, so maybe you don't like Swedish pizza, but what else is there to eat? Those reindeer blood blobs of potatoes?)

Yeah, the in-laws do speak English (I think I remember that yours don't?) but it's still hard. They don't like it much, I don't think, and I feel bad for causing such a problem, but then I know I shouldn't because it's really not my fault.. I mean, there's absolutely no reason why I should have known Swedish before I met M, right? But.. well. Still. It's a little easier this time than ever before.. I understand more of what's going on, and M is a lot better at kind of handling the conversation and speaking his part in English (which no one seems to mind) or translating, and then that helps me kind of know what's going on. At least, some of the time I know what's happening.

No Swedish pizza yet.. just food at home. But soon, I think, or M might implode. :)
