I am sitting on the couch with the laptop, watching Veronica Mars. [livejournal.com profile] carrieb mentioned a while back that she was watching it and enjoying it, so I thought perhaps I would give it a try. Because.. apparently I think I need to incorporate television into my life. It's strangely addicting so far. M doesn't quite think so, though. Of course. I'd never even heard of it before but I'm liking it.

So, anyway. I woke up this morning feeling a little crummy, so we've had a pretty low-key sort of day. I did alphabetize all of our CDs, including the creation of two mini-shelves to separate a double-stack of CDs, so at least I've crossed something off my list. That one has been on there since we moved in and I realized how it should be done. I really didn't want to go to the bother of alphabetizing a billion CDs if they were just going to fall down and get messed up. (We have two tall shelves that fits two rows of CDs each.) So what we needed was a piece of (cardboard, as it turned out) something to divide them. I have said before that M had way too much disposable income before we met, leading to his purchases of CDs. Many CDs. A billion CDs. He has a full twenty CDs of Dave Stewart. Seriously. Which, at least he really likes Dave Stewart. He also has a bunch of CDs that I woud not be surprised if he had never listened to. Or maybe that's just my wishful thinking.

We're going to a wedding tonight. I would really rather not. It has nothing at all to do with the people getting married, but I'm not feeling particularly up for social events today.. much as usual, though, I suppose. But.. we've already RSVPed and I would feel way too bad about skipping.

You know what I like? I like impossible-to-be-real perfect storylines where everything falls into place. I adore Ocean's Eleven (and I do mean the new one and not the original... which I haven't seen but plan to eventually.) There is just something about someone knowing exactly what to say and do, and predicting what someone else will do in response that appeals to me. That is what I am liking about Veronica Mars. There was an insanely short-lived TV show on a few years back called Thieves, and it had the same thing going for it... ultra cool ultra smart people. I wonder if that is saying too much about myself? I personally never know what to say or do in semi-awkward situations so it's no wonder I enjoy watching people who do.

Anyway, I guess it's time to go get dressed and ready to leave. And take the laptop to its internet connection in order to post this.. bah, I really need to get the whole wireless thing sorted out sometime, I guess. Oh, and did you know that you could make brownies even without a box mix? :) Now that's good stuff!

I loved my wireless network. I am having issues without it here now. I am so used to doing things online on my laptop, I keep trying to, and being reminded that I no longer have the wireless capability. I am so tempted to go buy a wireless router for Andy's dad's computer so I can use my laptop wifi again, but keep reminding myself that surely I can do without it for two weeks. And I keep thinking fifty times a day, if not more, that I want to go buy a router. *sigh*

What brownie recipe did you use? I tried one once, but it failed miserably, but thinking now, it was my aunt's recipe, and I don't like most of her food. Hmmm. Maybe I should try from-scratch brownies again before giving up on them entirely. The ones from the box are just so easy. LOL! And as if I need another reason to eat more brownies!

Katherine Hepburn's brownies. I didn't use walnuts because I think putting nuts in a brownie is a spiteful attempt to ruin said dessert. Yummy! I'll make more sometime soon, since I needed an excuse to use up my baking chocolate anyway. :)

You don't need a router, chickles! :) You'll make it!

Router! *pout*

Hehehe. It's fine as long as nobody else is on the main computer. At least they have DSL. Mom still has dial-up, but could get DSL if she wanted...she just isn't on enough to justify paying the extra for it.
