Seven Things Meme. But.. why seven?

Seven Things To Do Before I Die:

1. See one (many!) of my books in print.
2. Have a kid or two.  
3. Get my Swedish to a level when I can stop worrying about it already.
4. Buy a house!!  
5. Take my niece with us to Sweden.
6. See my 75th wedding anniversary. :p At least!
7. Obtain higher education level.

Seven Things I Cannot Do:

1. Whistle.  Seriously. I can't.  Attempts to do so make me the object of ridicule.
2. Eat just one potato chip. At least I hardly ever buy them, though, because I can work with my weaknesses.
3. Crochet (will eventually learn.)
4. A backflip. Although to be honest, it's been fifteen years since I even considered trying, and it's not like I want to now or anything.
5. Eat raw fish.
6. Dance. Or sing.
7. String together the name of the big guy above with the common word for a structure designed to hold back water into one curse. It's the only thing I think of as a "bad word".

Seven Things That Attract Me To My Spouse (or Significant Other, Best Friend, etc.)

1. Sense of humor: cause nobody makes me laugh like the boy!
2. Loyalty: he is easily swayed into being offended on my behalf
3. Snuggliness: I like my man warm and willing for the important stuff
4. Geek Quotient: Can you imagine me married to a non-nerd? It would just be sad.
5. Intelligence: Probably should have put this at the top. M is smart. He can like, do math. IN HIS HEAD.
6. Age: I like me an older man! (ha! just kidding, dearest.)
7. You sure you want to read this? :p

   Seven Things I Say (or Write) Most Often:

1. blah blah (used as a filler when I get tired of describing whatever I'm talking about)
2. A Naughty Word I Shouldn't Say In Public But Occasionally Do (rhymes with #6)

4. ANYWAY.  :)  (Yes, I do know I do it, at least.)
5. We'll see.

7. NEW SONG, PLEASE. (Just said that twice in the last minute, as M keeps playing his crappy music.)

   Seven Books (or Series) I love:

1. Wheel of Time, Robert Jordan.  I am a little embarrassed by this after talking about it for three months but I don't think anyone would believe me if I didn't include it.
2. A Knight in Shining Armor, Jude Deveraux. The first book that I ever cried about the ending. In public.
3. The Only series, Elizabeth Lowell.  Only You is one of my favoritest books ever. A ship made of stone, a dry rain and a light that casts no shadow.. *hsigh*
4. The Stand, Stephen King. Only, take my advice and DON'T read it when you're home with the flu.
5. Ordinary People, Judith Guest. I say this even though I couldn't make myself read it all the way through again as an adult after I asked for, and received, it for Christmas four years ago. It had a profound impact on me, though, at a time when I needed it.
6. Susan Elizabeth Phillip's (romance) series about the world of football stars. Completely absorbing, which is totally the sign of a good writer as I hate all sports and football in particular.
7. What It's Like to Have a Tail, by one M. Yayer. (If my dear friends at work didn't read this, I would have gone with my first impulse and said something quite racy here about the inherent rewards of saying this. ;) But they do, and I have to face them over Cobol tomorrow, so I'd better not.)

Seven Movies I Would Watch Over and Over Again:

1. Ocean's Eleven 
2. Lord of the Rings series.  I'm not really a movie person so this is hard, can I count this as three?
3. Dirty Dancing. Not so much anymore but I watched it at least once every day for an entire year when I was about ten, therefore it still has to be included. 
4. The Tenth Kingdom. Technically not a movie, I guess, but a made-for-tv miniseries, and if you haven't seen it, you really should. Worth the seven-hour investment, seriously.
5. Ciderhouse Rules. This is cheating because I own it and don't really watch it over and over again but it is an excellent, wonderful movie. (The book is pretty terrific, too.)
6. Annie. Yes. I am 26 years old and I like Annie. (Another one of the movies I watched over and over as a kid.)
7. Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves. Well, fine, did you want the truth or did you want a bunch of movies that I'm supposed to like? This is the third great movie love affair of my life.
