Today, there were five SIX separate encounters with spiders. One on the doorhandle, two in the doorway, one dropping down in front of my eyes in the car and one granddaddy longlegs on the edge of the porch. And I just remembered that there was a nasty-looking one in the mailbox! (Please note that four of these five are now ex-spiders, and there is a possibility that one that got away is one that I killed later. Sorry, I feel no guilt about spider exterminations.) I normally consider an encounter with ONE spider a semi-bad day. And to top it all off, it was Wednesday All Day Long!

I think this is an excellent reason to go to bed early.

I shall have to train the moles to climb on the house and eat spiders. That would solve all sorts of problems. It might look a little weird, though.

How about you train both the spiders AND the moles to STAY AWAY instead? Cutie. :) We (ahem) really need to clean the front porch because I can't live like this anymore.

Just in time for Halloween . . . I'm sure you never saw my entry about all the black widows we had in our garage. I'm not a fan of insects and spiders even less so. Good riddance.

Yuck! At least these are the non-poisonous variety. Oh, but I hate spiders. It's just now getting cooler and fall here so I guess they're trying to get cozy. Stupid bugs.

Thank you. I have been trying to create the impression to M that I am utterly unable to kill bugs on my own but when in an emergency situation, it is apparently semi-possible. ;)

Exactly. Sometimes G jokes that I married him so I could have a bug killer in the house. Well, duh!
