I am so clever sometimes. Like, when I had this great idea of printing pictures of our house (I'm so in love with the one-hour WalMart digital print thing) so I could show my family tomorrow. I even got up first thing this morning to crop and upload and order. And then we picked them up and they look great, as usual. I only printed twelve, mainly one of each room and two of say, the kitchen and basement. When I got home and looked through them again, I noticed that there was one kind of important room missing. How could I possibly have NOT shown pictures of the living room? It's the nicest-looking room in the whole darned house! So I just now put a forty-cent charge on my credit card, and we will be picking up two more pictures in half an hour. The internet is neat, even if I am dumb. Who would forget about the living room but me?

Speaking of pictures, I guess I should tell you that I've been holding out on you. I did actually upload pictures for M's parents last week, but I haven't been forthcoming with the link. The thing is, these pictures kind of suck. They're from the first day we were there, and they're fuzzy and the colors are weird. However, if you want to see them, you can go here: House pictures. There will be better pictures uploaded later on, I'm sure.

And now I guess the boy and I are heading off to spend the night with my parents. We're planning to drop in without warning for the surprise factor--yes, that would personally drive me crazy but they tend to like it so what the heck. Unless I sit here and think about it too long and get lazy. I think my brain is tiring my body out this week.

They're great pictures! I like that you took them at all angles. Is the little door on the outside perimeter an exterior access to a basement area? I love the hardwood flooring , the layout in the living room and the sunroom addition especially. You guys made a great choice.

Thank you! Yes, there's a door to the basement from the outside. I especially like that there are no steps up into the yard so we can just push the lawn mower right inside, for example.

Congrats on the house. Looks very nice. You'll enjoy the sunporch. I am really enjoying my downstairs one since I got it finished. And I LOVE the Walmart photo thing - I've been using it for a long time now. Why anyone bothers to print at home if they have a Walmart nearby, I don't know.

Ohhh it's so lovely!!! I am particularly envious of the fireplace and the incredible space around the house with beautiful trees and lawn, and the sunroom, and ... oh everything!!!

Sure, blame it on LJ. :) No, it really has been a little weird lately so I'll buy that excuse. And thank you! (about house pictures.)

I love love LOVE the built-ins in the livingroom, and what great windows, too! Your cabinetry in the kitchen is on the expensive side -- most of the "standard" cabinets nowadays don't have the raised panel in the middle. Also, the shelf organizers in the bedroom closets are a great addition. The sunroom is a great amount of extra living space -- it looks so cozy. I also really like the divider between the toilet and the sink in the bathroom. That little shelf will look good with some cute decorations. Actually, the whole house is neutral and adapting enough to accept any type of decor you choose -- it's definitely a house that looks settled and sturdy.

Thank you! I think the built-in bookcases in the living room are lovely, too. Why is time moving so slowly??

Congrats on finding such a cute home. It looks very cozy and I know you'll make lots of happy memories there!

We are starting to look a bit at buying as well. Unfortunately, we've fallen in love with hte area where we are renting and it is very pricey!

Thank you! I'm hoping we're as happy there as we think we will be.

Good luck on finding your own place! I can only imagine that it would be tougher in an area like you're in. I'm sure you'll eventually find something, though!

I LOVE the pictures! Your house looks like a welcoming home, even wthout any stuff in it. I especially like the cabinets and counters in the kitchen, the looooooooong counter in the bathroom, and the built-in bookcases in the living room. What a great house you found!

Thank you! We're pretty happy that we found it, since most of the other houses we looked at weren't nearly as nice. Now if only it was next week!

Hmm...I missed this entry. My lj account is seriously on the fritz lately. And I also read "Horse pictures" - I think I need to clean my glasses (although "horse" and Kentucky seem to go well together anyway).

I love the spaciousness and your kitchen area is wonderful! There is also a lovely rural feel about the location (dare I mention horse again? Okay. I won't. Forget I even mentioned horse.) I think you two (or three if you het that horse) will make a cosy home there.

Thank you! I don't know about horses but there are some cows just down the road... close enough. I'm pretty happy that it's kind of a rural area out there. I'm not all that thrilled with living that close to other people, generally.
