Ducky the Girl

I just went to pee, and I sat there for a minute talking to M (yes, I know, we're gross) and when I got up... I literally had to pee again. And just after dinner, I sat down in my chair and thought about how very full I was, and my eyes began feeling like they do just before they start tearing up to cry. That made me laugh because.. well, it was dumb. My brain considered being full from dinner a reason I might want to cry? I assure you that it was not. This whole pregnancy deal is weirder than I ever imagined. Mostly nice! But weird. I know I keep talking about it like I'm the only one who's ever been pregnant before, but I just can't help it. I wasn't sure I'd ever be where I am now.

Anyway, moving on to the fun part of the post now. It only took me a week to scan and resize and upload, but here are the Ducky pictures from last week's ultrasound if you want to see them.
Ultrasound
Creepy baby shot! Don't get me wrong, I am already in love with her, but faces look creepy in ultrasounds. I like this one because you can see a little hand up by her face.

Ultrasound
Second face shot. This one is a little clearer, maybe. She looks a little more human... if only barely. :)

Ultrasound
The cutest of all of the ultrasound pictures, in my opinion. Just look at that little footsie! It is so cute and tiny that I would really like to kiss it and say "Awwww!" to it a lot. I'll wait a few months on that, though.

Exciting! I totally know what you mean about the creepy ultrasound faces, though. Don't you wish you were a kangaroo and could just pop that little Joey-ette out of the pouch for a quick look-see?

I think all pregnant women are compelled to share the strangeness. It's just so. . . . strange. I'm enjoying reading about it *g*

Yes! It's such a good thing that you can't actually pop the joey-ette out for a peek, though, because there's no way pregnant women would leave it in there enough for it to live. I'd love to sneak a peek at her, though, and I'm saying this as someone who's had four ultrasounds. I'm a spoiled brat. What I really want is a 3D ultrasound but I sure can't motivate going to one of the non-medical places where you can pay for one.

Awwww! I always get a little teary-eyed when I see sonogram pics (if you could call them that!) because it's just amazing that you can see that precious little life in there! I'm still so excited for you!!

It is so incredible that you can actually look inside to see what's going on. We're pretty lucky to live in a time where that's possible!

I do love the footsie one. And, well.. yeah, she's cute all over. :)

I love the feet ultrasound pics. There's no guessing required, they look just like feet! And they are so tiny and cute! The first garment I ever bought when I was pregnant with Ingrid was a pair of the tiniest socks. It was sort of too early to be buying clothes but I wanted something and itty bitty socks to go on itty bitty feet seemed ok.

That's a cute icon! I love baby feet. We actually haven't bought a stitch of clothes for the baby yet, because I fear that once I start I won't be able to stop. ;) Those little things are so, so cute.
