This morning I have...

• been relieved when it turned eight o'clock and it was late enough to get out of bed
• had heartburn, queasiness, allergies and excessive thirst
• cried for five minutes about something I saw on YouTube
• answered the phone while in midst of crying spell. it was my dad, who was not sure if I was asleep or crying, I think, but didn't want to ask.
• waited for the phone to ring and M to tell me that he's done working for the day
• finished my second basket liner. new method of construction! still looks crappy on the inside. if you ever come over to my house, don't look at the inside of my baskets, okay?
• drank a small cup of cran-apple juice at the recommendation of the doctor. i really don't like cranberry juice. blech.
• read
• done two loads of laundry
• gotten mostly ready to leave
• puttered
• wondered if it was really THAT STRANGE that neither M nor I really want to do anything to the walls in Ducky's room besides leave them a light tan color? No border, no pink paint.
• talked to my parents, who we were hoping to meet while shopping for lunch, but I am now wondering if that will happen.
• tried on three dresses from the closet hoping for one that would fit me well enough to wear to church next week and was surprised to find that all three would work, though with a very different look (hey! very pregnant over here!) than before. oddly, one of the shirts, though really tight, looked better now than it did before--I bought it, washed it, and then could never wear it.
• missed Boyo a whole lot, and wrote a journal entry solely because I have now run out of things to do while I wait

Spouses working weekends, that sucks. Mildly, in the relative scheme of things, but frustrating nonetheless.

I wanna see your baskets! :) I bet they look great, and who cares what the inside looks like, nobody will ever see it unless they are a big snoop and in that case you probably wouldn't invite them back so you wouldn't care then either! hahaha Was that sentence long enough? I love, love, love cranberry juice and am always sad when I find myself on an overseas flight that doesn't serve it. haha

I uploaded a picture of the first one, link below. I meant to put that in the last batch of pictures, but I forgot. This picture was taken at this angle to avoid the inside of the basket, of course. *laugh* I am not too worried about it because I will probably put stuff in them that will hide the ugly, and even if I don't.. they're going on top of a desk hutch thing, so you won't be able to see into them casually unless you're eight feet tall. And if all else fails, I'll just tell people that I bought them online and they arrived that way. Ha. ;) The first one I made by looking at the previous liner and trying to measure/draw/cut out five individual pieces. The second one involved taping all of the pieces together and cutting it in one piece so as to only need the four seams. That was much better, though I think I'd have better luck if I redrew the pattern again. I'm not going to, though, because I have discovered that I do not have the perfectionism required to be a very good sewer. ;) It's still fun, though.

i think that having nice art on the walls would be nice. personally, not a huge fan of the wallpaper borders and while i have finally come to appreciate pink in clothing for myself, not a huge fan of it on the walls :) i wish that i had a picture of my cousin annabelle's room - they did a really cute mural type thing where they painted the walls to match her bedding. it's quite cute.
