My sweet, sweet baby is having a bad day. Her belly has been giving her problems, and it has made her grumpy and unsleepy. She woke up at eleven and was awake most all day, except for some restless dozing while being held. She's in bed now but is squawking occasionally. I suppose I should be in bed in case she ends up waking up. By the time M came home, I was more than ready for a breather. I have had primary baby responsibility all week long because he's been busy (with my full blessing) working on another project thing in the evenings, so I flitted off to do some grocery shopping in preparation for Midsommar tomorrow. What, you didn't know it was June again? The Scandinavian Heritage society's Midsommar event was canceled due to the hostess falling down her steps and breaking her nose, so they rescheduled it for now. It's going to be so hot that I don't know how long we'll be able to stay, but we'll see. We need to at least drop in if we can. M made some stinky fish and that sure can't stay in the fridge too long.
I think my grandmother is dying, and I fear it will be soon. I have had a long time to come to terms with the eventuality but it's still not a fun time when you hear that she's basically not responding anymore--ie, not blinking until you actually touch her eyelashes. I just wish things were different.
Baby crying, must go.
