I just printed a layout, was within half an inch of the bottom of the page.. and I unplugged the freaking router. This made the job go poof (the router is set up to be a print server.) so now I have to start over with the darned thing, wasting more ink. Naturally, I was unplugging the router in hopes of bringing our internet connection back. It worked, but at actual monetary cost. (Ink.) Stupid stupid computers.

I have now uploaded all of my completed layouts to my photo gallery. See them here, including the one from yesterday and one from tonight. I'm adding them in reverse chronological order.. it's kind of gratifying to see progress. I'm not quite motivated enough to add dates, though. :)

One more thing, then I'm off to bed. A couple came into the store today, and the man was such a shocking person that my mother actually went to fetch my cousin from the back room to come look at him. He was quite heavy, first of all, and was not wearing a shirt. He had on a pair of denim overalls, with one side hanging down. He did not appear to be working underwear. He had a long scraggly beard, and hair rather like Gimli's, only in a strawberry blonde color. As he approached the register, I had to really fight to keep myself from laughing. He was funny enough as it was, but the real clincher was when I noticed that he was wearing socks with sandals. It just completely did not fit, but it did give me a bit of humor in my afternoon. :)

Those layouts look great! I need more time! And I'm not even working (yet!)

Thank you! I seem to recall an online store where you could buy time.. I doubt it would help, for some reason. :)

Your layouts are really fun. :) What program are you using? When you say computer scrapbooking, I'm assuming you're using a desktop publishing program? Neat!

Thanks! They're all created with Photoshop 7.. I always have to do everything the hard way.. *grin*

Tack! ;) *grin* There's sort of a double meaning with that one. With that group of friends, sappy just doesn't really work very well, so I wanted one that could be taken the other way (ie, we don't deserve the trouble of having them as friends.) And thanks, about Whitley's cuteness--I agree. :)

Love the layouts! I also really like the one about not deserving your friends -- what you've done with that to blur certain people and leave others in focus. Very well done. You can do such different things with the computer scrapbooking than I can do with paper scrapbooking. (But I won't give up my paper!)

Thank you! I had a lot of fun with that one. I have a bit of paper envy about the normal scrapbooking.. I've always loved paper. I'm also not quite so into angels and gingham, which was always one reason it was easy to avoid getting into scrapping, seeing the stuff in the stores around here. Now I see lots of stuff that I would love to play with, but I'm enjoying this more than I would the regular sort. It's extremely interesting to see how the materials changes end results though, I think.

Great layouts. They really make those moments memorable. I liked them all, but I have an extra soft spot for Harvey! I hope he enjoyed his day?

Did Magnus give up smoking? L-G did last year - not that I've actually see 1 ore of the supposed "savings"...

Tack. :)

Harvey had a phenomenal time on his first picnic. He wants to know why we don't do that sort of thing more often. (The truth is that we sometimes leave him at home, but don't tell him that.)

Magnus quit in January of 2001. It seems a little unreal at this point that he would ever have been a smoker. That's actually how we came to have the entire series of Monty Python's Flying Circus on DVD.. he spent his cigarette money for the first few months on it. I made him stop saving after that, because I foresaw a "fun money for M only" fund in the making.. *grin*
