happiness comes in boy format.

There is Much Love in the house tonight, because my husband? That one that is awesome and wonderful? He pushed me into the bedroom as soon as he got home and... are you wondering where this is going, you pervert?... gave me a long, long massage complete with baby oil. It was fantastic. It was just what I needed. It made all my aches and pains go away until I was lying there, a boneless heap of wobbliness and happiness. Later, he brought me potato chips to complete my hormonally inspired dinner of peanut butter cups and concentrated salt, and rushed off to the gas station to buy milk for my breakfast. He is much too nice to me, really. I think I am probably very hard to live with but he seems to like me anyway. Amazing!
Perhaps he was just feeling affectionate because I came up with a belated Valentine's Day thing where we can buy semi-expensive presents for ourselves. We really were doing okay with not buying each other anything, so it's basically an excuse to spend money semi-frivolously. (Yay, payday-inspired splurging!) But I didn't have to bring it up more than once, and he stopped today to pick up his present.

The Yayer household now has a "No bench-sanding in the living room" rule. Sad, really, that such a thing was necessary, but that's what it's like to live with a boy. He is going to be SO EASY to buy gifts for now that he has a shop. I am being generous with this because he has led me to believe that he will build me furniture if I buy him the right tools. Probably a ruse.
I am trying to do better with taking pictures and (gasp) posting them, too. This is largely because I think M's parents probably like it. I don't KNOW that they do but I would, if I were them. So, if you'd like to see a few more in-progress house pictures, you can look at them here. I should add a batch of rooms-with-furniture pictures, but we haven't really taken many of those yet.
