How do you rebuild a relationship after someone hurts you? How do you go back to normal when you're wounded and bleeding? How long will it take before I can trust again, or will I always be sitting here waiting on pins and needles for the next time it happens?

And so with that in mind, how am I supposed to teach my seven-month-old not to bite my nipple with her newfound teeth? ;) She drew blood this morning! I guess I was lucky that it took her a week to figure out that she could do that. I have been skittish since then but the show must go on, so to speak. The little brat got her feelings hurt when I yelped and said "NO" and pulled away. You bit me, little girl! No fair crying about it!

What? What did you THINK I was talking about? :)

(Oh, come on, you love drama!)

You had me fooled! I couldn't imagine what you were talking about. Erik has bit me a couple of times. I am sort of ashamed to admit that when he has bit me, he has recieved a smack on the face. Not nice at all! I didn't mean to, but. . . well. . . it is a pain like no other, as you've discovered. I followed the advice of removing him from the breast immediately and ignorning him for a minute. He went through a couple of different biting phases that lasted about a week each.

hehe. I felt a little evil for posting that. ;) I yelled and jerked away much more harshly than I really wanted to, but it HURTS! I so so hope that she gets over this soon. Honestly, it seems more like she just doesn't know what her teeth are doing yet. I hope she figures it out super fast.
