Remember the story of Hansel and Gretel, and how they left a trail of breadcrumbs to find their way home?

Yeah, well, Evelyn left herself a trail of lotions, apparently to find her way back to the bathroom. She's an odd kid.

Also, anyone else still use their hospital buckets/pans/whatever-they-are from childbirth? Haha. I have used the two I came home with for a thousand different things, but lately, it's just to collect lotions and soaps that little girls can play with. Or make trails with. Whatever.

p.s. M was replacing the light fixture in the hallway. That's why there's a chair there. I was having a terrible time keeping her away from where he was working.

Holy cow, she is big! She almost looks the same size as Erik, at least from that angle! Except when I look at Erik he is a lot bigger in reality than he is in my head, so never mind.

I never got a hospital bucket thing. I was ripped off!

She is big though. Seriously. I think we compared not long ago and she is the same size as Anders. I have just had to come to grips with the fact that my child is tiny. Reebert's six-month-old weighs the same as my three-year-old. Sigh. I don't know why my kids won't gain some weight but I have tried to beef them up and come up short so that's just who they are.

When I read that Sean was 27 pounds I did a double take. Erik was 27 pounds at his two year appointment. He is currently 30ish pounds and 36ish inches according to home measurements. He hasn't had a ped appt since his two year, but I guess it is almost time to take him in for a three year appointment.

I think your kids just take after their mom and are nice and thin. Someday they will appreciate it! Or at least Ingrid will. I don't know if guys want to be thin.

That's why the number stuck in my head, because it's Anders's current weight. He did finally make it on to the weight chart but neither of them ever had those cute baby roly-poly legs. I suppose I should be glad because they were easy to pick up and carry around in the infant car seat. ;-)

I had also been thinking that Ingrid is more or less average now but we just had six of her classmates over for her birthday and she is noticeably lighter than all of them. And it isn't that the other girls are overweight, she's just skinny. She'll probably be happy except that she'll probably be a late bloomer and one likes to be on average where that's concerned. At least that's the way I felt.

Also, I didn't get a nice tub like that or I surely would be using it to store lotion and the like. I had a squirt bottle that I kept for a long time but I finally got rid of it when we moved to the bigger half of the house.
