So Sesame Street was on TV (rofl, at the moment Elmo is on and she is over there trying to kiss the television) and there was this scene with kids swimming in a pool. The letter of the day started rising out of the water. When it came out of the water completely, she got excited and said "EEEEEEEE!!" And yes, the letter of the day is totally E.

I can't get over the fact that this is my kid, and she is smart and funny and wonderful and she is here because of ME and M.

She's not quite seventeen months old and she recognized the letter E! I feel all awesome and stuff. I am going to pretend that it is all because of our mad parenting skillz but to be honest, we have not really tried to teach her much of anything until she shows some sort of interest in it. (She has plenty of time for people to force her to learn stuff... I'm cool with her just being a baby, you know?) And I am sure that there are other kids who are just as smart as she is but well, they don't live here. It's harder to be amazed at them that way. :) I assume that E is the only one she recognizes. I really might have thought it was a coincidental noise except for the E is for Ebbie thing the other night. And even if it was a coincidence.. eh, who cares? :)

Also, Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs was on this episode of Sesame Street and he was so cute. (Cleaning out Oscar's trash can, of course.) Is it sad that I was annoyed that I had to go drag her back to the living room so *I* could watch Sesame Street?

And that reminds me. One more Sesame Street thing and then I will return to my normal self, not concerned with the television programs of preschoolers. I have spent a while watching YouTube videos of Elmo for some strange reason, and I direct you to the most awesome celebrity Elmo skit. Elmo with the Goo Goo Dolls. It is so cute it makes me melt. Furry proud and red! hahahaha. I love that one.

Of course I don't mind an invasion. I just wish we could come invade you guys. ;) I think we're pretty much open on dates. I'll check and let you know if there's any time that wouldn't be good. Besides Thanksgiving. I mean, you can come over Thanksgiving if you want but you'll get dragged to a full extended holiday celebration with my family, and you don't want that. ;)
