You know, I have this tag called "m buys in bulk". I greatly fear I am going to need to rename it to "WE buy in bulk" because I have apparently been hanging out with the boyo too long and have picked up his bad habits. So says the girl who bought 27 boxes of cereal this week. Yes. 27. That is not an exaggeration, I really, really did. In my defense, they were all cheap after coupons and frankly, I was tired of lugging the coupons around and being afraid they were going to expire. Besides that, M peer-pressured me into paying retail for Cheerios last time we were shopping together. (That box is still unopened, of course. It was urgent, you know...) Next time he asks me to buy cereal, I shall respectfully decline, and also, smack him. We do eat a lot of cereal, so it won't go bad or anything. I felt like a big dork walking through the store with a cart full of cereal though.

So, part of today involved cleaning up my little storage room. I'm not done yet but I did come up with a plan to steal a bookcase from M's garage--he's way underutilizing it, doesn't even have most of the shelves in it--to organize the room. E hung out with me part of that time. She loves that room, but it's a rare treat that she's allowed in there because there's so much random stuff to mess up. (Just a note, it is not nearly as cluttered normally as it was recently, when certain people may have seen it. There may or may not have been some amount of throwing random things (including picture frames) in there because we were having company. I mean, it's full of stuff, but it's not usually a problem to walk in there.) I love my storage room. When we first looked at this house and decided to put in an offer on it, we went home and started drawing out a rough floorplan. I reminded M to draw in the storage room, and he said, "What storage room? There is no storage room. That must have been another house we looked at!" And I was disappointed, but also confused because I really thought that there was a room off the laundry room but apparently I had been mistaken. The next time we were here, I ran out to the laundry room and did a little dance for joy because yes! There WAS an extra room there! With shelves and everything! It doesn't take me that much to get excited. Storage + being proven right = happy. Storage is really just a bonus, at that.

In other news, Evelyn pooped in the big potty yesterday!. She is only seventeen months old! (Well, for four more days she is.) I am not thinking that this is a sign of things to come or anything but I was so shocked. We don't even have a little potty out yet, but I have sat her on the toilet maybe ten times total, and mostly because she thinks it's funny. She was clearly in the midst of something yesterday during a routine diaper change, so I stopped unfastening and asked her if she wanted to sit on the potty (thinking about her recent desire for oatmeal to be a toilet.) She nodded, so I took her over, sat her down and let her do her business. I don't really know how to go about potty-training but I guess that I might need to be thinking about it soonish. I

Then today, she did a somersault. It was so funny because she totally didn't mean to, but she immediately started trying to do it again. If it were me trying to learn to do a somersault, I would probably want to try it out on carpet, but no, my little dorky baby decided that the hardwood floor was a better place for that.

I just went through pictures since April and am chose, edited and am uploading the last half of the files for printing. I stay so behind on that but I love having them. I should be in bed right now but I am waiting to place my order. I would really like to find time to do some sort of photo book but we'll see how that goes. It'd be a great gift for the in-laws. They're always pretty hard to buy for.
