Another day of a (mostly) appropriately sleeping child! I could totally get in the habit of this!

Do you ever want to do something nice for someone whose blog you read? If you feel the urge to help someone win a Wii, please click here and vote for Andrea Deckard (Mommy Snacks). You don't have to register or anything. It's a pretty close race and I would be pleased for her if she won. (I mean, let's be honest. I won't be ecstatic or anything unless *I* won! Which would be more than a longshot because I didn't enter it. All the more reason to be thrilled! Ha.) Clicky clicky. Or not.

Speaking of winning things.. a few months ago, I entered a contest at a certain cloth diaper blog. It was for a ladybug lunch bag, and I entered it largely because there were not that many entrants and I thought I might have a chance. And.. sure enough, I won! I had a little email exchange with the blogger who was giving it away. She has a daughter named Evelyn. I have a daughter named Evelyn. It was a real bonding experience. Anyway, I sent her my address and she said she would send it my way. That was in August, I think, and I still haven't seen it. About a month later, I sent her an email to ask if she had sent it, but received no reply. It kind of makes me want to send a few pointed emails or comments their way (group blog) because on one hand... I can live without a ladybug lunchbox, you know? But on the other hand, why bother with a giveaway if you have no intentions of giving something away? It's just weird. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, she probably just forgot, or it maybe got lost in the mail (but if so, I would assume she would have replied to that last email to say that...) People are weird. It was a cute lunchbag, too.

I'd be annoyed as well. Perhaps M could write one of his short, but very much to the point comments on her blog :) I've seen some blogs I read have these giveaways and wondered how it all works and if you'd ever get your prize.

I once entered a blog "Santa gift exchange" and while I sent off my gift, not only did I not get acknowledgement from the fucking cow woman who I sent it to, I did not receive a gift from the person who was paired with me either. So I NEVER enter these things anymore. People are just not reliable.

Yay for a sleeping child. It makes such a difference.
