This long afternoon break is nice but I will so regret it later today. Ev came down with a fever yesterday (her first, really) and so has been feeling poorly. She's been napping all afternoon. I'd normally have woken her up by now, but I think she needs sleep more than I fear the consequences of her sleeping all afternoon. Parenting -- one series of unfortunate choices after another. ;) Luckily, the joys of having a baby crawl onto you while you're laying in the floor, raise your shirt up and start kissing your lower back for no reason at all... makes it all worth while.

(I think her fever is going away--the nurse said to bring her in tomorrow if it hasn't left yet. Stupid mean virus!)
