Why do people respond to Craigslist ads and then fail to show up? I DO NOT GET IT. M posted an ad this week, offering free firewood, as we have a tree in our yard that really MUST GO. Several interested parties. Three of them make firm plans to come. Party A does not show up on either day mentioned. Party B says that he will try to get to it on Thursday, but will probably be there Friday evening. Party C says he will take it, and will be there Sunday night. I just don't understand what the point is. Desperate need for human interaction? A desire for an email or two, perhaps a phone call? Really, what? I have no idea. I personally am so much of a procrastinator that I put off emailing people I actually like, much less people that I don't know. What do they hope to achieve by this?

I just deleted an entire snarky paragraph because I was afraid someone would take it personally. Now I don't have anymore time to write, so you will just have to imagine now that I posted something really grand in this space, and then concluded it properly. Go!

Oh classic Craig's Listers! I hate that. I usually put "First come, first served" to ward off the flakes - then of course you get the wackos who are pissed when they find out it's gone already. You can't win sometimes. Hope you're able to get someone to come take it away!
