Monday night

It's been impossible to think of today as Monday, for some reason. Saturday, perhaps. But not Monday.
*giggle* We're watching police videos of high-speed chases. This one guy just threw himself from a moving (fast!) vehicle. The police, of course, were just right there and stopped to pick him up. What exactly did he hope to accomplish?! But it was sort of funny to watch him bouncing across the pavement.. *giggle*
Today's been a relatively busy day. We left at about 1 for the dentist appointment. It takes nearly an hour to get there. Mom didn't go cause of the Papaw thing, but Dad and I went anyway. I convinced Magnus to go with us for the ride. It wasn't all that difficult since I don't think he particularly wanted to make insurance calls anyway. Anyway, so I got my teeth checked and cleaned, and there were no cavities or anything bad. I've never had a cavity, actually. I'm slightly obsessive about teeth-brushing, although sometimes I wish that I wasn't. I really hate doing it. Why am I rambling about this?
... Anyway. We got home and I worked on the mandolin site for quite some time. I got a rough rough first draft completed. The graphics are all a little wrong, but the basic outline is there. Magnus sent a mail to the guy and asked some questions and got a response, but he didn't know any of the stuff I need to know about his hosting. We're supposed to call his son and ask. I'm looking forward to having this site done. I don't even have a good idea of how much longer it'll take. I guess that's something that will just have to come with more experience. Time estimations.
Magnus fiddled around with helping with the site, but it didn't last too long before he went to do dishes instead. I suspect he'll have a hard time being completely self-employed working-from-home when this really kicks off and he has to quit his day job due to the company.. *giggle* .. At least he was working at something, though, and not playing computer games. I get really freaked out when he does that. Not that I'm trying to be mean, but I just can't get anything done when I hear guns and clicking and scary background music. At the moment, he's playing Delta Force online with the player name "Snugglebug". *rofl*.
After dinner (fried potatoes, corn and mac n cheese.. really time to go to the grocery store) we went out to the hospital for a while. Uncle Vaughn and Brad were the only ones there with him at the moment.. everyone else had gone to get something to eat. Then they came back and we all visited a while, and Papaw fell asleep through it. I suspect that he wouldn't mind if everyone went home for the night. :) Oh, yeah. They decided (obviously) to keep him another night because his fever was back last night. They said that he might have a touch of pneumonia as well, but weren't too sure. So basically, they just wanna keep an eye on him. Probably tomorrow.
I'm somewhat bored but not sure what to do. I'm tired of reading and I'm tired of working on the website. I haven't done any cross-stitching in a while, so I don't even feel like I have that to work on. I had thought about making something small and cute for Whitley to go with her flowers for her birthday. It hasn't happened, and it seems like it's not gonna. Her party is Saturday, and I haven't started it. That reminds me, I need to call around and see how much my roses idea will cost. Perhaps she'll like carnations just as well? *grin* If it's too expensive, we'll get them at Kroger and just bring them instead of having them delivered. I haven't really sent flowers to anyone before, so I have no real clue.
*sigh* Maybe I should just go buy her something paper instead.
I'm really anxious to see what this week will bring in terms of income. Hope he gets a call from the Preferred Company tomorrow. Would be jätte-neat if he could pick between two job offers. Definitely seems a good thing to have changed his name. I'm threatening to call him Chris full-time.. but them I'm also threatening to call him Anders--I like it. (It's somehow our thing to not use each other's real names. We're not sure quite why. I could probably count on one hand the number of times he's addressed me as Kisha when not discussing this phenomenon or talking about me to someone else.) As for me, I still can't say his name quite right, which is truly mortifying if you think about it. My vowels are wrong. Also, it sounds silly to my English ears. *mgrin* Btw, I'm kidding about the Anders thing. I really do like it, but guess what? Can't say THAT properly either. And it might be annoying for him if I called him Anders, but if I started calling him that with the English pronunciation, he might beat me. :)
In closing, I just want to say this: Ladybugs are evil. Goodnight.
