The Bjorns have it.
Mar. 27th, 2003 07:56 pmAlright. BjornInTheUSA.com it is. :) I've even registered the domain name.. the longer we thought about it, the more it grew on us. I was going to host it as a subdomain at a current hosting account that I have, but we decided to give it its own name. We've had $14 worth of amusement out of it in the last three days. ($9 in domain registration costs, $5 for the first month's hosting at the company we're gonna use.) For those who don't know how domain names and hosts work.. don't bother going there yet. It takes 24-48 hours for the internet to see that the site is there and know where to send people to. I'll be sure to keep you all updated on the progress, of course. Probably more than you'd want.
In the meantime, I'm going to try something unique. I've started a Wiki for the site's development. A wiki, which I'm going to assume that most of you don't know about, is a dynamic type of site where any random user passing through can edit and change whatever text they want to. It's very Zen. I came up with the idea of using one for the site when thinking of sharing information while Magnus is at work. He likes to know how things are going, and when he has a minute of free time, I thought he might like to come up with some content or revise something I've written. I found an extremely easy and simple one and installed it this afternoon, and then thought that it would be interesting to allow other people to use it and see what, if anything, happens. So if you have a free moment or two every now and then and want to include Stuff for the prospective site or see how it's going, you're more than welcome to pop in. It's pretty skeletal at the moment.. I just got it working before I had to go to my parents for dinner.

(Do you have any idea how long it took me to come up with an excuse to play with one of these things?!)
