Yay me! I got up this morning and found that my chick has finally started a livejournal! A cheery hello to
stewlis! She's my bestest friend from college, and I've been nagging her for a year about this. Hopefully she'll become as obsessed as
carrieb and keep posting. Hmm.. maybe I should let her know that if she doesn't, I'll never go eat pie with her again.. :)
Nothing like cutting off your nose to spite your face.
I got Bjorn's basic design done last night. It needs a bunch of sprucing up and stuff, of course, and pages added and stuff, but now at least I know where I'm going with it (clean and simple). I was suffering from a distinct lack of creativity this week. Oh! Eeek! The pressure! The domain name has resolved already!!! (Here, anyway.. it might take a little longer in some places. It works that way.) I've gotta hurry! *grin* I just hate paying for something I'm not using. Oh well, I suspect I'll be working on it a bit this weekend. We can't leave town, and you can only go to WalMart so many times.
My husband has actually now referred to me as an "alien metal monster". I'm not sure that sounds all that nice. You remember me complaining about my watch situation? How no watches ever work for me for long? I replaced the battery on the watch I wore before this one broke, and guess what? It's stopped working already. It started by losing time.. I just checked my watch while we were at dinner last week and realized that it wasn't 3:30 at all. I reset it and it was still working when I took it off, and when I put it on days later. Within an hour of wearing it, it was losing time again, and now it's completely stuck at 12:15.. though the second hand is trying really hard to keep moving. People usually nod knowingly and blame it on magnetism when I tell them this. Assuming that's the case--and obviously, there's something wrong with me--I'm actually wondering if I can blame it on these vitamins we're taking. It feels silly to even suggest.. but the watch problem began again after years of inactivity when I started taking them. The other factor I'm going to check out is that both of the batteries I purchased this month were from WalMart. Maybe I'm incompatible with WalMart batteries. That does not, however, explain why the first watch's battery ran down then to begin with. I assumed it was a normal case of replacing it after a couple of years, but now the timing seems fishy. We're going to talk to a jeweler. Maybe I'll get my Fossil watch back after all.
Look at me, making up conspiracy theories for clocks. I really do slip further and further into crazy every day.
