Happy Birthday [livejournal.com profile] stewlis!!
Hope your birthday is a good one, chickles!

Hope everyone's Easter was good. Mine was.. unEasterlike, for the most part. I didn't even have to be involved in egg hunts with the kids. My cousin insists on taking her kids to her inlaws on holidays and stuff, so she had to leave early. ;) I did spend an inordinate amount of time peeling eggs, though.

Today is also my grandmother's birthday, so i think we're going to be going out to eat with them and the parents. I suspect that it will be Shoney's, since that seems to be the only place my grandparents like to eat. I may be forced to eat a piece of french silk pie. I've been craving that lately, and a certain someone just HAD to get married and move away so we can't go anymore... :)

I think I might be working one day a week for a while, and my cousin Rae and I are going to try to set up a weekly lunch date. I'm not sure how I'll be able to handle this level of social activity! ;)

I spent forever peeling eggs today. Not quite sure why. We had deviled eggs out the wazoo (eww. that sounds gross, doesn't it? LOL).

Sounds like you had a pretty good day! *hugs*

We had deviled eggs, too! We were talking about how strange it was to actually make extra eggs for deviling when we were going to end up with piles of plain boiled eggs from the egg hunt. :)

*hugs*

You make extras for deviling? We just use the ones they decorate, but make sure they're careful hiding them! JK, they hide the plastic ones. Thanks for the Happy Birthday, chickie! PIE, dammit. LOL!

Well, normally, we don't. Yesterday we had a vegetable lunch. The parents brought a bunch of stuff, and Mom decided to devil a dozen instead of coloring them. The egg hunt didn't happen til after lunch, so we couldn't have had deviled eggs if we'd waited! ;) I don't actually like them, myself, so I really wasn't all that concerned either way, but Magnus LOVES them. (Though he prefers them to have a bit of caviar in the filling.. hehe.)

LOL! Caviar in deviled eggs...yuck! I like deviled eggs, provided they're done correctly (aka to my liking). We did some yesterday and they were perfect, as well as potato salad (same thing, very picky about it) and it was really good too. :) Yeah, kinda hard to have deviled eggs if they haven't hid them yet!

I agree that it's quite gross, but.. if you think about it.. it's an egg, caviar is an egg. ;) *grin* They stink to high heaven, though.. ;)
