I'm such a sap. I still cry every single time I listen to the song "Painters", by Jewel. I mean, it's a sad song, but I've had this CD for at least six years. Must I still weep about it?
I fell asleep on the couch last night after Good Eats. (New show! Omelettes! Nifty infrared thermometer gun!) I feel gloriously well-rested today, and due to a depressingly slow and boring day at the store, my feet don't even hurt. That's nice. My feet have been a major source of discomfort lately. Almost has me thinking about a diet on the chance that losing a few pounds would help, but I have a bit of a moral issue with dieting for the sake of it. I started to go off on a tangent about that, but I think I'll save it for some other time when I'm more in the mood for it.
Oh! I don't think I mentioned that my cousin Brad (age sixteen) wrecked his truck last weekend. He's perfectly fine, thank goodness, but his truck has $4,000 worth of damages. I only hope that this was a wake-up call for him AND for his parents, as he's been allowed to drive places that I feel are totally inappropriate for someone who's had his license for only a couple of weeks. I was gradually given driving privileges as I proved worthy of them, and I was a heck of a lot more responsible than Brad is. No insult intended. I was also a year older than he is now. And female. I still am, actually. *giggle*
Magnus is making fun of my brain. Apparently, it's "weird" that I can't tell right from left and occasionally have trouble with basic math skills. I was just never good with sevens or eights! Nothing weird about that!
Oh, one more thing I've been meaning to mention. A decided novelty about my job is that Tom T. Hall's brother comes in once or twice a week and flirts with me. *laugh* (Flirt in the loosest meaning of the word, added for effect mostly. But he does call me honey and darlin' and similar.)
