Yesterday evening was extremely busy and exciting. Just as I was preparing to leave for my chiropractor visit, Dad brought down a package that was on their porch. Our new camera! Yay! After we got home, we got it going and had tremendous amounts of fun playing with our new toy. We were going to just walk down to the creek (just behind the house) and take pictures there, but as it turned out, the thunderstorm the night before made it all icky and ugly, so we ended up going down to the lake after all. We walked around by the dam and took some pictures. A few of them turned out marvelously. Most were an obvious improvement over the old camera. A couple were completely out of focus, of course. ;) It behaves differently from the old one! We're very fond of this one.

The first picture has been reduced in size, the second picture is a crop of the berries at full resolution.

After we got back from the lake, Brad called to ask if we were selling the old camera we have and if they could come to look at it. After they had been here for a while, my parents showed up, so we actually had four guests all at once. We never have people over, so this is significant. They bought the camera and then left, and when they did, we got started on cleaning the place up because Rae was to come over tonight. (She cancelled, so it didn't matter, but it's nice to have a clean house anyway.) By the time we had finished with all that, it was bedtime. Actually, it turns out that we should have gone to bed sooner, because we both completely overslept this morning. Dad called at 8:17 to ask where I was. We were both pretty late for work, but that extra hour or two of sleep was excellent.

Anyway, that's why there was no post last night.. I was very much planning on writing one until I realized that it was bedtime. :) Tonight's been a little more relaxing. And we harvested our first garden crop.
Cute little babies, aren't they? Anyone have an idea on what to do with this massive amount of cayenne peppers? *giggle*

This post really is rambly in a weird and bad sort of way, so I'm just going to give up on transitions, as it's 11 pm and I'm ready to go to bed. I took this picture of our livingroom tonight when playing with the camera. I have no idea where the idea came from, but suddenly I ended up with a virtual tour of our livingroom. Hope you enjoy!

You actually are the one upside down, as is evidenced by your standard globe. North America is on the top half, Australia is on the bottom. Stand a tiny doll on America. It stands upright. Stand it on Australia. It'll be upside down. See? You're upside down and we're right-side up. Or at least more so than you are. Perfectly logical. ;)
