Ugh! Tired! Today has been a very very busy day, and I'm so very ready for bed now.

We got up early (10.. hehe) and took the subway from Kista into town. We waited for and then watched the big shebang of the changing of the guards, with horses and music and such. That was fun. Also, it was very long.. over an hour. After that, Gunnel left and we went on to walk around town a bit. We walked around Gamla Stan for a while, crossed over the walky bridge and walked up that street quite a ways and then zigzagged back, eventually ending up at Zinkensdamm, which, as the brightest of you may remember, is where we got engaged. :) We sat there probably an hour, just enjoying the weather and the view and each other, and then took the subway to the middle of town and walked for twenty hours to get to Kina's apartment, doing a bit of window shopping on the way. We went into Lush, which I've heard someone on Amerikanska rave about, but then I didn't know what to buy and got intimidated by all the choices and left.. hehe. We also went into a dept store and looked at crystal, and that was fun. And a bookstore/music store. We in general had a good day walking about, but it was extremely tiring and somewhat painful. The cobbled streets in Stockholm are really quite charming, but they're kind of hard on my feet, particularly as we're pretty sure (no x-ray) that I broke my left foot somewhat a week before the wedding. It aches now if I walk too much, or too strangely, or if the weather is nasty. Anyway, we also stopped a few times for refreshments and a break, which made it bearable. Had a hot dog and we shared some fries sometime in the afternoon, and a Daim flurry-strawberry milkshake break at McDonald's later on. Daim, by the way, is a somewhat disgusting chocolate (and caramel, I think) bar sold here that can be chopped up into itty-bitty pieces and made into delicious desserts that include ice cream. Impressive how they make that work, but it's good stuff.

Oh, by the way. Last night I wrote that some lovely people executed the nobility in a square in town. That was meant as a sarcastic bit, not that I really think it was lovely of them. Just thought I should clarify that.

We got to Kina's apartment at a bit after six, and we had keys so we could go in and wait on her. Zoned out in front of the TV for an hour or so and recouperated from our day's journey. She came home and made a very lovely Thai dish, with chicken and rice and ginger and other things. We watched Friends and such, and then played cards and talked for a while. We left at 10:30 or so and took the train home.

Tomorrow, the suggested itinerary is to (provided we have use of the car, and we're not sure we will) have lunch at Taco Bar, do some shopping at the store formerly known as Obs and now something stupid like coop forum, and Ikea. At sixish or six thirty, we're going to Blatt's for dinner. Saturday, there's a veteran car thing, Sunday I think we're supposed to meet up with M's friends, and.. I guess that's all that's planned so far. We have to call Paul tomorrow to see what we can arrange with him.

Okay, time to go for now. I'd like very much to be in bed right now as it is. Night night!
