Tuesday night
Oct. 1st, 2002 11:59 pmDon't laugh, alright? I'm tremendously excited, and yes, I do realize that the loops are lopsided and the white is a bit glaring.

*beam* I bought a couple of learning/pattern books today at Joseph-Beth. They proved instrumental in helping me figure this thing out.. now I know why it wasn't working before, and, as you can see, I finished my very first baby project! :) The next project in the book is to do the same thing only differently.. I won't bore you with details. I'm so excited. *giggle* I really have always wanted to learn to do this. :) I have it hanging from my monitor. I'll try not to show you every single thing I work on until there's something worthy of attention, but this was a Milestone... hehe.
Everything I started to do this morning got interrupted, so when M called to say he had looked at a car for us in Winchester (a Saab that will not be gracing our driveway, thankyouverymuch), I was all for going to look at it. I took the Mazda in for transmission repairs this morning, and it should be done by Friday, and might not cost as much as he had figured, both of which is good news. The rest of the day turned out much better, with shopping and all. The car was worthless (our idea of 'it runs real good!' does not include a car that cuts out when you hit the gas.. theirs did.), but we talked to a friend of Dad's before we left (all three of the cars that I/we have owned have come from him) and he's going to look around for us on Thursday, so that's nice. I can't wait until we find this new vehicle and get it home.. my husband is driving me crazy talking about cars all the time. :)
