Friday morning -- Two years ago....
Oct. 25th, 2002 11:06 amTwo years ago today my baby moved across the pond to be with me!!
I really can't believe it was so long ago! :) Of course, it also feels like he's been here forever. We've had such a wonderful time together so far, and I know that things will only get better.
The actual moment of arriving wasn't until late. I think it was around 11 pm, but at least he arrived in Lexington and not Cincinnati (an hour opposed to two). I was there with our house key tied to a rose with a ribbon and a car full of the other eleven roses. The security people found that one very strange, lemme tell ya. I waited at the gate with a youngish couple. The girl thought she was a model, apparently, and strutted around the lounge practicing her walk, presumably. It was somewhat bizarre, particularly because she was pretty far from a model in appearance. ;) The plane was late and I was waiting for the wrong one anyway--his plane made a stop in Louisville, so it appeared to be from there instead of Atlanta. But the arrival was so excellent, and it's only gotten better since then.
Need to think of something celebratory and lovey to do tonight. Something that involves ground beef, though, as it has to be fixed tonight. How romantic that sounds!
Life is good. :)
