Thursday morning

I've been quiet this week cause I'm sick and haven't much felt like writing anything, and haven't really accomplished much worthy of writing down. No further word about Alex, and no sudden job offers on the horizon... just nothing special. I've done some tatting, but more pattern surfing than anything, as I'm too scatterbrained from the cold to keep my mind on it too long. I think I'm feeling somewhat better today, but yesterday and Tuesday really sucked. I'm not feeling too hot today, either. I've worn the skin off my nose and now it itches like crazy, for one thing.
I suppose we won't get any more Trick-or-Treaters than we did last year.. ie, Casey, Krista, Whitley, Alyssa. We're facing the wrong way, so no one can see our light. We have coupons from Wendy's for a free frosty and Reese's cups and Crunch bars, though. We realized that we probably wouldn't have many kids, but I've been craving chocolate lately, so decided it didn't matter..rofl. In general, I'm not a crazy-about-chocolate kind of girl, so I feel that when I really want it, I should be able to have it without guilt. :) We bought two pumpkins on Tuesday to carve, but I haven't felt up to it, so they're still not done. I guess we'll do that as soon as Magnus gets back from Maysville today. Last year we made homemade ice cream. Maybe we should make that a Halloween tradition? The only problem was the noise from the machine. And something I remembered yesterday.. two years ago I was sick today too! I was frustrated because it was Magnus's first Halloween. (It's not celebrated in Sweden in the same way.. hardly at all. Magnus still can't remember that it's on the 31st and not a floating holiday.)
I've been sitting here trying to think of something else to ramble about, and getting nowhere. I'm not at my brightest. :) So I think I'm off for lunch and such.
