Sunday night
Nov. 3rd, 2002 11:06 pmYou know, most people probably don't have scraps of handmade lace lying willy-nilly about the house. Silly to be us.
Fun day at Papaw's.. game playing. Heidi and I beat Magnus and Mom at Rook, and then there were two rousing games of Outburst played, one of which we won. Mom bought a cake mix for Angie's birthday, Dad made the cake and brought it to me before they left, and I decorated it (looked very nice if I do say so myself) and Magnus got it from the car and we lit the candles and he took it in the kitchen, so a big joint project. Ang is always doing things like that for other people, and making sure that everyone is taken care of, and so it was nice to be able to surprise her with this. She was certainly not expecting it, either. Fun fun. :)
The update on Alex.. Apparently she didn't have to go in for an appointment in Cincinnati after all.. because her test results came back normal. Part of me is very excited by this news, but part of me is still wondering why her heart skipping beats is normal. I'm not sure what's going to happen with that. Also, my grandfather is debating on whether or not to have the heart cath test done as recommended. I think he's leaning toward it, but.. *sigh* Hearts should just work, dammit, with no complaints or testing!
Yesterday was our Perfect Day. We went to Grayson first to pick up stuff for Magnus's electric mandolin project from Bart (mandos!) and then went to Huntington to the mall (books!) and two craft stores (string!) So, basically, our perfect day consists of mandolins, books and string. How sad are we? :) But it was fun, and I got five new threads. Life is good.
