First of all, a teacher ran off with the circus to marry and become a clown. They left after a couple of years to have a normal life, and had triplets in Vegas. They named these poor children Candy, Holly and Milly. Their last name? Graham. Yes, that's right. Candygram, Hologram, Milligram. Shouldn't that sort of thing be child abuse? (Story from the Wayne Brady Show. I think Wayne Brady is very cool, but I'm not sure how I feel about his show yet.)
Also, a male medical journalist from Britain has declared that women don't actually suffer from sexual dysfunction.. it's a ruse by the pharmaceutical companies to sell products similar to Viagra to the other half of the market. Well, thank you, Mr. Man, for your enlightened theories. I'm sure that your vast experience (as a man suffering from absolutely no female sexual dysfunction) was very helpful to you in making this analysis. (Story covered by our local news. Unfortunately, no links provided, and if they mentioned his name, it was before I was watching. Sorry.)
I'm not a huge Trading Spaces fan, but I watch it sometimes. It's on right now, actually, and it's what prompted me to write this entry on the stupidity of things I've seen on TV today. If you've seen the show, you know that there's one asshole designer, Doug. I dislike him to the point that I usually refuse to watch any show that he's on. I don't think that was the effect that the show had in mind when they hired this guy, even if the point was for him to be a jerk. Anyway. One of the women has a really serious foot phobia. She was completely freaking out because the designer that she would be working with has a tendency to run around barefoot. It's her thing.. she just hates feet, can't stand the thought of feet, can't stand looking at feet. So. What does Doug do, in her house? He paints a mural of a giant foot to hang on her wall. AAARGH. What kind of person would do that kind of thing? It's crazy! It's not like he was planning on painting a foot in her house before he found out that she couldn't bear the sight of feet!
