Can't it be Friday instead?
Jul. 31st, 2003 10:20 pmYou might remember that I mentioned that my hosting company was down a day or two ago. Well, here's why. It's actually pretty suitable, since I've been continually impressed with this company and was rather surprised when it went down for so long. Draknet, if you were curious.
I was playing with the video capture on the camera and have uploaded a little bit of said film tonight for your viewing pleasure. A bit of prefacing, though. We have these two monster goldfish (Larry and Blackie.) They're in a 10 gallon tank. When we bought them, and their two sadly now-deceased cohorts (Tiffany and Gretchen), they quite fit into the tank. They no longer do. Anyway, we've had, off and on, a small fish bowl in the tank for them to hide in. Lately, they've taken to snuggling together in the bowl, for some odd fishly reason. Poor Larry just can't grasp the fact that he's entirely too big for such a small bowl, and I have tremendous amounts of fun spooking them out of it. Crappy modem-friendly quality (148 K) or Broadband version (490 K) *giggle* Enjoy! It may not be much, but at least it's a start. :)
I've even updated the photoblog and gotten
totte started on his first entry of his own photoblog. Can you tell I need a real web-type project soon? I'm just making things up here. I'm such a dork.
Moving right along to the real-life kind of thing. Today pretty much sucked. I had to work, my back really really hurt all day and moreover, we were really really slow all day long. I hate it when things are slow. We had four customers before I went to lunch. Four. In four hours. Things did pick up in the afternoon, but I had already came up with the idea of asking if they even wanted me to come back from lunch since it was so slow. I rather had my hopes up for getting the afternoon off, but he didn't agree. I don't really think my parents care too much for working the register, although I'm not sure Dad would admit it. Mom does, though. :) Anyway. I did have a marvelous dinner, which made up for it somewhat. Still tired and achy, though. But at least tomorrow is Friday.
Anyway, need to go answer a bunch of silly questions now. Night!
