Complaints and fun.
Dec. 6th, 2003 08:14 pmMy boy is really so sweet. I've been getting these odd stomach pains. They're not exactly like the ones that I complained about earlier. This feels more indigestion. Actually, it feels like chest pains more than stomach pains, but I know that it's not. Anyway, when they hit, the only way to make it stop hurting seems to be to lay down for a couple of hours. He's been in here several times to check on me. He's turned on my music, moved the monitor so I could see it better, and most recently, he brought me a green furry blanket. I've avoided complaining too much because that's all sorts of boring but I do wish I could pinpoint exactly what's causing it so I could stop eating it.
Even though we're both feeling a little puny, we headed off to town today and managed to pack a lot of fun into just a few hours. There was an arts and crafts fair, so we stopped in there and walked around. We were surpised at how nice it was, really. Most of the arts and crafts festivals feature junk, but for the most part, these were quality handmade things, and the prices weren't outrageous. There was a less-than-hugely-fun trip to WalMart and a stop at a jewelry store, too, all in the pursuit of Christmas goodies.
I'm not really in the mood for Christmas shopping this year. I ordered a bunch of crap online last night, and I'm just going to assume that it gets here on time. I just don't feel up to shoving my way through hordes of people. I usually enjoy it just a little bit, but I have no enthusiasm this year. Except for buying M stuff. I want to spend oodles of money on him. He has some stuff on the way, and I bought him something today. I don't think he's bought the first thing for me yet. :) I did give him a good list this year, at least. Usually I can't think of much.
Which actually is not all that different from right now--I also can't think of much else to say tonight. I've started playing Dink Smallwood again, for some unknown reason, so I think I'll get back to it now. It's quite fun if you like childish humor and zelda-like rpg. Besides, it's free. And any game that actually lets you play it with no problems from a computer over a network is completely the height of technology, you know. :)
